About MUSA
What is MUSA?
MUSA is a student fellowship dedicated to promoting a sense of community and to further fostering that connection among all math majors and math enthusiasts alike. We aim to strengthen ties between students, professors, and staff in the Department of Mathematics through collaborative events such as:
- Our annual Student/Faculty Dinner
- Peer Advising
- The Serge Lang Undergraduate Lecture Series
- Movie Nights
- Math major workshops
- Picnics and BBQ's
- Annual trips to the MSRI
MUSA also manages the activities for the Distinguished Teaching Award towards the end of each academic year. This is an award that is solely based on undergraduate votes.
How can I join?
We post our meeting places and times regularly, and all majors are welcome to attend them. General meetings are typically held once per month on a Wednesday from 6-7PM in 1015 Evans. This organization is sponsored by the Department of Mathematics. Additionally, you can just drop in at any one of our events!
